Supporting radical change in West Cornwall

Client: Soul Farm
Art Director: Laurence Jarrett-Kerr
Editor and DOP: Sam Glazebrook

A whirlwind tour of as many market gardens as we could squeeze into a single day, spanning from Falmouth to Lands End and up to Newquay. Cornwall boasts an incredible growing and food scene.

In 2018, a handful of individuals gathered in a pub in Penryn to discuss the future of Cornish food. At that time, the local food scene was somewhat lacking. Among the farms we visited in the video, only Bosavern Community Farm was actively producing at that time.

How can we get more people choosing their local veg box supplier?

Sometimes just grabbing a camera and jumping in the car is enough.

Since those humble beginnings, the movement has burgeoned, with many now involved in projects. Soul Farm, A Taste of the Good Life, Grown, Community Roots, and Aral Farm have all joined the effort, cultivating and serving their communities. Other farms, not featured in this video, have also contributed to this growing movement. Some of been around for years, others are new entrant farmers. Perhaps another tour is warranted?
